Extraordinary Lucchesia – the area including Lucca’s city center, its beloved walls and its outer neighborhoods, has fascinating places you should explore. To help, a new map of 13 potential walks and hikes has just been published by the city’s Tourism Board called Lucca Trek.
Meander just a few kilometers southwest of the city to immerse yourself in the soul and history of Lucchesia. Including…

Use the map to discover the riches and beauty of the area.
The trails traverse many neighboring municipalities including: Capannori, San Giuliano, Massarosa, the Via degli Acquedotti, Monte Pisano, the river park and the Puccini bicycle-pedestrian path, the pilgrims’ routes of Via Francigena and the Cammino di Santa Giulia, the Cammino di San Jacopo, as well as architectural curiosities on the outer bank of the Serchio, like the slopes of Quiesa, with their ancient parish churches and poetic panoramas.
The map can be downloaded from turismo.lucca.it/lucca-trek in three languages, Italian, English and French or picked up at the tourism office in Piazzale Verdi, inside Lucca’s walls.
