Given the persistence of the criticality of the fire situation, the mayor Mario Pardini signed a precautionary order for the evacuation of the town of Piazzano (about 200 inhabitants) and the opening of the Custer De Nobili school in Santa Maria a Colle as an overnight accommodation for the 30 people who found themselves homeless.
Municipal Police and other law enforcement are guaranteed to provide night surveillance of evacuated homes according to the city.
The administration, in collaboration with the Civil Protection, the Fire Brigade, the AIB, the Municipal Police and all the competent forces, remains vigilant to act promptly in case of need.
