No deal has been announced to acquire AS Lucchese, so by June 21st the team’s owners face the obligation of providing assurances, including personal guarantees, to keep the organization afloat for another season. The possibility that a buyer will materialize before then to purchase the team now seems highly unlikely.
Then there is the technical question of which players to acquire, if any, during this delicate phase.
The only thing that remains clear is that the team’s owners should have started and concluded their negotiations with interested parties long ago, before the pressure to get a new season underway was on their doorstep. Stalling and stress help no one.
